The late Jakob Titz leading the J. T. Orchestra
The J. T. Orchestra was started over 40 years ago by Jakob Titz.  Since that time they have been providing the best in German-American Music and entertainment for audiences throughout the Tri-State area.  They perform in costume with authentic German Lederhosen and Dirndls.  They also like to get the audience involved by participating in the Alphorn Contest and by doing the "Schnitzelbank".  The Chicken Dance and the Hochzeits Marsch are also current favorites.

The J. T. Orchestra takes part each summer in the Penn's Landing "Sommerfest" and also in the Steuben parade held in Philadelphia each year.  They perform at many German clubs and restaurants in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.  They have performed for audiences as far North as Toronto, Canada, as far west as Colorado and as far South as Chattanooga, Tennessee where they were invited to celebrate in the City's first Oktoberfest.  They have also performed for "Oktopberfest" cruises to the Caribbean and Mexico, where the audiences were international, people coming from North and South American and also Europe.

On May 25, 1998 the J. T. Orchestra lost their beloved Band leader, Jakob Titz.  He passed away very suddenly.  His music and legacy will continue to live on through his family of musicians.  The J. T. Orchestra has always been known for their lively beat and ability to get the audience involved.  Whether they are singing, dancing, swaying or just tapping their foot to the beat -- Everyone is happy.  The music of the J. T. Orchestra makes you want to dance, whether they are playing the old German Beer-drinking songs, the newest hits out of German today or favorite American standards.

The J. T. Orchestra has produced 3 tapes and are presently working on a new CD.  For more information and to schedule an appearance, please contact
